Do You Support Jetski Titleing?

Just ride
I really don't see the advantage to it at all. If someone steals your ski they still wont be able to register it or use it (if they were sneaky enough they could still change HIN numbers regardless of whether it has a title). New Jersey is a non-title state (you are given a certificate of origin when you buy a ski) and it is still just as much a pain as if you needed a title I'm sure. I'm not positive if other states are the same but just because you have no title doesn't mean you can just buy, sell, and just register things all day long. The ski must be registered to be used on the water or at least tidal water that I know of (which is good majority of riders) and in order to register you have to have legitemate proof (old registration with previous owners name and notorized bill of sale) that you bought it from the previous owner or else they would turn you away at the DMV. Also people can misplace or "not have" a title just as easily as they can lose an old registration, at least with the registration the owner can just go get a new one from DMV, I'm pretty sure you can't just get a new title. It all seems to be a bigger hastle than it's worth.

So with this in mind I am going to have to agree that it is way for state to get more money with no justification for cause.
