Do you think I should come to SFF?

Honestly if you are going to go I would just leave the ski at home. Working on a ski at a ride like this is almost impossible because everyone around you is going to be out drinking and having fun and you are going to want to join in.

I know everyone says "Oh I'll help you out putting your ski together", but when it comes down to I'd feel really bad asking someone to help me out when they could be out partying with everyone else.

I brought an MSD Enhancer to the Daytona Ride thinking I could just install it the night before and well I spent most of the time with a case of Becks instead of installing it.

In the end it comes down to just being there and enjoying the experience and meeting everyone. Like I said I would just go without the ski and party it up and meet everyone you can and I am SURE many people would let you ride their ski.

Although I haven't been to a ride, nor am I able to come to this one, keep in mind that there are a lot of guys in this sport that don't get plastered and incoherent and really love troubleshooting and building. I know Charlie (sflsurfrider, dare I say that around here) always loves to help. I know Charles (crammit442) is a born gearhead who would rather wrench a bit than drink anyday. There are a lot more too. You can tell from the enthusiastic posts on this board. Also, having three or four guys either agreeing on how you should set up your cooling lines, or getting into a fist fight about it would be fun for all:)

Take your boat. If it ends up being built, you'll leave happy. If it sits on the trailer and you still get to ride and have a blast, you'll also go home happy.

I totally disagree with FLY..... There are tons of boats being put back together and tuned and everyone is pitching in!!!!

It's awesome..... Bring your ski - I am sure it will be tuned and together before leaving the ride.....

BTW....... These guys have been riding, wrenching and having fun all day...... We don't party till all the skis are off the water and up for the day!!!!
