I am building up a 760 motor and wondering if I should use a girdled head? Did anyone ever crack a 760 cylinder? I will be running a B pipe and won't have crazy compression, probably around 180 psi.

where do they crack? the sleeve or cylinder case itself? im about to build up a 760 and i did not know about this problem. thanks

the only thing i see wrong ( I'm a pump gas guy) is 180 compression.. I'm pretty sure that will be race gas on a 62T 760 cylinder unported...

I do have a girdled head but it is kind of beat up so I would like to use my new ADA non girdled head. I am thinking I will use 35cc domes, hopefully pump gas will work with them.

I beleve it will depend on you timing but with an enhancer your fine up to @185 psi untill you need to run an octane higher than 93nikad58 said:
