Super Jet Does a bone stock SN Porpoise if its foam is water logged?

I can make an sn bunny hop to. You hold the throttle steady and do nothing with your body.

I can also make a freestyle ski nose Bob up and down uncontrollably till I give up and hand it back to its owner. Do I need practice or is the hull hundreds of other people can dominate faulty because I cannot do it?

There have been a lot of threads about superjet porposing the past few years and it seems no matter how many times you say to ride it harder and learn the OP wants to gut the tray and make the foam pink. Well if you want to piddle f*** around to save 20 to 30 pounds tops on your 30 year old sn go a head.

My 400lbs 91 sn does just fine. A superjet is not an sxr. Remember people got tired of going fast in a strait line around 08 when the real sxr died.

The entire freestyle aftermarket is based around the fact that the superjet in all years is sensitive as sh** to the rider and his input.

It's a 7 foot 2 x 4. The water it's in will put it where it wants if you dont learn how to dammit!

Ok sorry for ranting.

Actually the weight doesn't really bother me at all. Would it be a plus to get this thing down to what it should weigh? Yes. The big issue is handling because once the deal goes through with my friend, this will be my primary wife / brother's gf / visiting friend / daughter when she's old enough ski. The porpoising just makes the thing annoying for me to ride around on, even more so for others. So if it can be fixed I definitely want to look into it. But this ski is a pretty solid 9/10 so I'm going to be careful with whatever plan I carry out.

Also it is my opinion, but this ski is not a 2 X 4. More like two 2 X 12s. My 56.3 mph ported 550/800 is a 2 X 4. Shoot every ski I own is way more squirrely than this SN. That includes my 48mph 650 Wavejammer. This SN is a tank and it handles like one. Big and stable. Which is why it's easy for my friends to ride on and easy for the ladies to just cruise with. For eveny sort of normal cruising I prefer my 09 SJ. And you'll never see me going straight on that thing.

Now, am I not used to the massive man handling necessary to keep this thing where I want it? Yes that could be true. If this is just how the ski is supposed to be then I'm fine living with it. But based on my experience on other SNs and 96-07 RNs, something is worse about this ski. If there's an obvious flaw or issue I'd like to get it fixed. Saving 60 lbs would be a definite added side benefit.

No doubt does rinder experience make a difference but when a sn is bunny hoping out of the water without you try to or while resisting there is a problem, I'm not for sure if its that bad for him but I have seen it like that, also just got my 9/15 hooker in today cant wait to ride it

Yea it is that bad. It's porpoising of magnitudes larger than some people can bunny hop lol. The period / distance between hops is longer and less vigorous than some other skis, such as modded 750 sx / sxi / pros. Those skis with stock hulls at speed can get downright violent with their porpoising if they are set up with less nose weight and short ride plates. Very few skis I have ridden porpoise as bad as this SN in pretty much the stock configuration. I've been riding for 11 years and on a good day my riding group has 24 skis, I have been on a decent variety of stuff to compare to. I would also consider myself decently knowledgeable about hull mods and ski modding for better handling in general.

Well maybe I am just wrong, but every superjet I've been on will bounce like a basketball if you let it. I wish I could ride this one and experience it. At any rate I hope you figure out what's wrong with it.
