Have you check to see if the butterflies are sync'd when closed?

The breather doesn't go up the pole it's inside the hull I believe it works

They were not synced but I fixed that...

When I had a problem with kawis in salt I had to close the plug gap a good bit. Mine ran great when te gap was damn near almost shut. Don't ask me why... But it always worked.

For the record the ski has not run right for last 3-4 years... I completely rebuilt the carbs, had the bodies sonic cleaned... I switch from mechanical timing advance plate to the electronic advance, it would not barely run. I deleted the timing advance and it runs like it did before I rebuild the carbs... I am running 30 psi of popoff pressure... I am wondering if this is too low...

Open the bottom screws on the carbs 1/2 turn from the settings I had given you. Was talking with Chris about your ski and he had that problem once and that is what fixed his. He did not do as much to his sxr as I did. But worth a shot.

Not much of a difference really.

air density might be a factor. on some of my boats, i get a lean hesitation when the weather cools off and have to open the low screws.

^^ It very well could, especially if you were already on the edge of tune. I had a 1040 Seadoo with a Rossier pipe that was that finicky.

My SXR was bone stock and handled 1500+/- with no issues as does all my Yamaha stuff. I'm usually pretty conservative on my setups though. I'll take reliability and longevity over ragged edge any day.

Whats your water routing like? Anyway you dumping way to much into the stock exhuast at low rpms?
