Thanks! I bought this ski and it already had this turn plate on it, but after snapping two stearing ball studs, I realized that this must not be set up properly. Basically, the stearing cable reaches its full travel before the turn plate hits the bump stop (in both directions) so what gives?! Seems like the cable does not have enough travel? Is there something I'm missing here? I have the stud in the closest in position.

look into a schmitty kit for post 2008 poles. ( which I can see you have there with the cast aluminum plate stop. not a bolted stop like the earlier sj's) also wamiltons sells a update kit so you can run an older sj cable and get full throw out of your steering.. hope that shines some light on this mystery

Do you have a drill and a tap? Drill a hole on each side of the stop and put a little bolt on each side that you can adjust in and out so the steering will have a stop.

Not sure what his status is on still making them but you can try PMing @shmity1 on here and see if he can help you out. also listed in the other thread wamiltons makes a kit. you should measure your steering cable as well to verify what cable is in there. if you have a pre 2008 cable then you have a longer throw in your favor. here is an old thread on it : again not sure what the status is on these kits..
