Does anyone run Dasa dual 48's

I'm running a Dasa 908cc 5mm stoker with Dasa intake, Dasa 48's, Vf2's, PFP, and enhancer in my Blaster and this is my setup...Hope it helps.

135p
125m
2.5ns
115g spring
Yes it does, I was able to get ahold of dasa and they said your jetting I'd what the carb should come with. He said reversing 135m and 125p should be good for my setup similar to @jason184

OK, my current setup is:
135m
125p
2.5ns
115g
1/2 turns hi
1-1/4 turns low
Seems OK out of the water on the hose, but I won't know for sure till its on the lake. Still doesn't feel right...

Rode the ski Friday, its better but the bottom hit still isn't there. I have a 122.5 set of pilots showing up today. I'll try it Sunday and if its still not good I'm contemplating selling the carbs and PFP as I think my little 760 is over carbed and over piped. I'll throw on some stock 38's and a b pipe.

Hot Products Tau Ceti Tornados. They actually fell apart Friday on their 2nd time out. Hot Products sent me replacements which will be here today.

Ive read this a few times, but I have head that the 2.5NS tend to leak more than all the others, so you could be dribbling gas out of both of them

That's a possibility, maybe I should go to the 2.0ns with a 80gr spring, that'd keep me at roughly the same pop off. There seems to be a lot of fuel residue all around the carbs and manifold so maybe that's the issue?

OK, new jets installed, throttle seems way more crisp granted it's out if the water. I looked at the venturi and at that chugging idle where the engine is vibrating really bad, the venturi is intermitantly dribbling fuel, it shouldn't do that right? I assume the 2.0ns and 80g spring is needed. Any suggestion on that??

OK, the above setup worked better, but still feels flat on the bottom. My non ported 701 with type 4 and 38's still hits harder. Traded the PFP pipe for a b pipe, and replaced the 48's with 38's. Hopefully it hits harder.

I forgot!
I got dual 48 power bombs on my 7 port cast dasa with b-pipe and tl msd. It has the hit you want, don't give up on them yet. With a pfp pipe you should be able to get some good power down low with that displacement. I know that I run a 2.5 n/s at 18-20 psi Pop off but I can remember my jets. I know I went down one increment on my pilots and that was all it took to clean up my bottom end for crisp power. Most guys seem to run reverse jetting one the pfp. I do not. I think I am 72.5 pilot and 135 mains.

Yeah I may be way off, I have not had them apart in years and I can't find my jetting notes. It does seem too low. Maybe they came with 115 and I put in 112.5. Ahhh I must be getting old. Lol.

those riva/dasa type carbs can be a bear to find sweet spot in bottom end, especially with a pfp pipe, try injecting the pfp with the 48s reverse jetted

Well my PFP pipe is gone, traded for a b pipe, seemed to be the best logic. Put the 48's back on. I upped the spring to 95g, and got new Rhaas -1/8" motor mounts to better line up the engine with the coupler to reduce vibration to stop the venturis from dribbling at idle due to the terrible vibration this engine has...
So I'm at 135h 122.5l 2.0ns 95g. Seems to be the setup based on the carb database for the various dual 48's folks run. I'd that's no good, I'll try reversing at 125h 135l 2.5ns 115g. If that doesn't work its getting the dual 38's I have sitting in the bullpen

Wait, your changing motor mounts to correct vibration? So your saying you have been running your motor out of alignment? Also, If I am not mistaken Rhaas mounts are stiffer than OEM or the Monkey Grips...... Try going up on spring tension (Pop Off Springs)

Yes I have, the motor sat about 1mm to high, that's with hogged out OEM mounts, I didn't know reduced height mounts existed until last week. I installed these mounts in my sj and they fixed the issue, i assume they'll do the same on the eme. I just increased the spring from 80 to 95.

ok. I had my bed plates slip once, It cost my drive shaft and intermediate shaft. Ordered new shafts. Got about 30 minutes out of them. Then found out what had happened.......... Expensive slip of the bed plates.
