They are supposed to be 3 in tall in block letters. In CA it is suposed to read CF 0000 AA; with 3 in spacing between the CF and #'s and 3 in inbetween #'s and last 2 letters. They are supposed to be on the front, top deck, on a no movable part of the ski. Thats Cali regulations. Mine meet none of those requirements and I have never had a problem.

Man is there anything that California is not incredibly anal on? No offense to you but seriously. Most states just say must be 3" letter or 3" block letters on the front. California tells you exactly where on the front and I could so see some cop measuring your spacing. I'm actually suprised they haven't banned two strokes yet. Love the area...hate the regulations.

Yup, seen those. Mine are not "fully" legal either, they work for the ocean, but I would still get a ticket at ********holes like Lake Hopatcong, etc..

I also have this tag on the ski.

But those arnt legal as well? There not tall enough and there on a moveable part of the ski.

In some places in Florida they will ticket you for letters like that...

I would not worry about it though... mine are not legal and I have had no problems

Tickets around here for sure. XFT Lou got a warning because his numbers were to close to the color of his carbon ski.
