Super Jet Does this sound like a start/stop switch issue?

Out riding today, ski was running fine, full tank of gas...after about 15 minutes it just shuts off while I am going about half throttle. There was no stutter or stumble or loss of rpms prior, just like someone flipped an 'off' switch. Ski was dead in the water. Hit the start button, it turns over, but will not start. Prime it, try again. no luck. Swim it to shore, pull the hood, everything looks kosher. Checked the tank vent, fuel lines, all electrical connections appeared good, clean and semi-dry. Throw the hood back on, swim it out, plug the lanyard in, hit the start switch....absolutely nothing. No click, just dead silence. Where do I start as far as troubleshooting this issue? Thanks

First step check battery connections then disconnect black n white wire connector from start stop switch which is located right by the electrical box. Turn idle down to stall or be prepared to plug connector back together. You can unplug the red n brown connector and put needle nose plyers into box side connection n bypass S/S switch.

I will check the fuse, but where it conked out and then the thing still cranked for a while before completely flatlining it doesnt' sound like a fuse issue. Unless it is the fuse plus some other underlying issue.

Did you jump relay direct with needle nose plyers in clear connector red n brown wires going into ebox ? Try an extra ground from battery to the head with a jumper cable. Eliminate simple stuff first and narrow it down, the fuse can develop a bad connection.

Just so I have this correct...I leave the black and white wires disconnected and then jump the red and brown coming out of the ebox together while they are still connected to the start stop switch wires? My harness has bullet connectors since it was redone by JSS.

Or do I jump them while they are disconnected, thus bypassing the switch to determine whether the switch itself is faulty?

Disconnect red n brown and jump them together where it goes into ebox, this will energize your relay to the starter. Leave black n white (stop circuit ) disconnected too.

Disconnected s/s switch completely. I have 12v to the red wire from the ebox. Jumped red to brown and I get nothing. Not even a click. If I jump the posts of the solenoid I get sparks but nothing else. Any ideas?

Pull plugs make sure motor turns over by hand using coupler to rotate it. You jumped starter relay without results so maybe your starter is bad. You added a second ground with jumper cables ?

Ok, so I charged battery, cleaned all terminals and connectors, bridged the relay again for giggles and it cranked. Tried with the start button and it cranks as well, but will not start. It appears I am getting no spark, even if I try it with the white and black wires from the s/s switch unplugged. Tried new plugs, new coil assy, still no spark. What's weird is every so often it won't do anything when I press the green button. So then I jump the solenoid again and it cranks and then will also crank using the green button. If it is cranking, does that mean the solenoid is 100% fine and I can rule that out as far as the no spark issue?

Tried known good stock CDI, added a new ground from neg terminal to block. Every once in a while I will get spark. But still not consistent. Charging battery again since I killed it trying to start it over and over.

I'd say starter relay or stator maybe? I have heard of stators causing a similar problem. Sometimes you can look at the stator and get an idea if its bad.
