Toby is home and healing, should be riding by mid May, guess I will be his Biotch mechanic till then:banghead:

Ironic is I now have 3 friends injured badly from pit bikes. I think it may be time for mine to go away.

Glory,
Glad to hear it wasn't as bad as it could have been. If you were a dog, you'd have to get by with oral pain meds. Course, I could put an e-collar on you so you wouldn't chew the infusor out.

Our surgeons have the dogs walk through high weeds and groundcover as part of the recovery/physical therapy. (I hope these tips are helping) :pokey:

I have faith in you. Athletes always surprise the docs, so 4 months it is. Oh, and don't forget, chocolate makes everything better.

Hopefully be seeing you back on the water soon. Missin' the rest of the Co-Tex crew already.

So far so good. I ditched the crutches already and I'm "walking" on it pretty well. Don't have as much range of motion as I'd like, but I'm working on that every evening. I can only bend it about 60 degrees right now.

I have pics from the surgery, but I keep forgetting to bring them in.

Glen, keep them... I posted some from my knee surgery on the other site and they were haunting me for months... LMAO

BTW, I spent two full months on the pretty heavy percocet doses daily, and it took me only three to four days to get off the stuff.
I think I still have like half a kilo of the leftovers... LOL

Just thought I'd throw out an update.

Knee is doing awesome. No pain at all anymore and I am walking pretty much like normal.

Went to the Dr. last friday, he says it's solid as a rock and I no longer need to wear the brace. I'm cleared to do full weights in PT and I'm doing a bunch of extra stuff on my own. It's still a little weak, but I can almost feel it getting stronger every day.

I don't go back to the Dr. until the third week of June and that's when he will fit me with my stabilizer brace and clear me to start running and doing more impact type of exercise. So hopefully by early July I can start easing back into riding again.

OK Final update on my knee.

After a bunch of Insurance Co. mess ups, I finally got my brace the middle of August, only 7 weeks late. :shooter3::shooter3::shooter3:

Finally got to go ride yesterday and after 5 1/2 months I can finally say:

I'M BAAAACK!!! :fing02: :cheer2::Banane35::barrel:

Rode for about 3 minutes to feel it out, then let her rip. First couple of BR's were a little pathetic, but they got better. Everything else seemed pretty good considering I haven't ridden since March 17th.

Now I've really got the bug for Pismo. Can't freakin wait.:brap:

Glory, you've gotta come down to Crystal Beach end of this month. It'll be a warm up for the new refurbished knee. Glad to hear you're back on the water finally!
