Driveshaft ID Help

I got $10 to paypal whoever can positive ID this driveshaft, get yourself lunch, beer, coffee. If you can do it ridiculously fast, I may feel even more generous. Even better, if you have a clean one for sale I got paypal ready for that too!!

I have this driveshaft in my aftermarket hull, I need a new one since it's hammered. It's a kawasaki driveshaft, the measurements:

23 9/16" Overall Length (Spline to end of coupler threads)
1 5/8" Length Splines

Tapered Bearing/Seal Surface:
(distance from threaded end)
4 1/16" to start of taper
7 11/16" to end of taper

Coupler Threads are same as the SXR motor I have.

I measured with a tape measure so it's not the most accurate, but from what I looked I couldn't find a driveshaft with a 3.5" bearing/seal surface. So I think this should be a dead give away.

650sx is the same length. Ill have to measure the seal surface.

Also, an sxi shaft is about 23 11/16. Ill see if i have one to check too. If i remember right they are thicker too. What hull is it.

The 650SX looks like it tapers down forward of the splines. Mine doesnt

i'm pretty sure i have 4 or 5 of those and since i have so many, it must have came out of an ss or xi 750. it aint no 650, 550sx or standup 750, its too short. i also have shafts that are an inch longer. not sure where the bearing rides, but that distance can always be made up by stacking bearings or a spacer.

Bruce just take a look and see the tapered surface that the bearings/seals sit on. It should be roughly 3.5", it seems this is the only kawi driveshaft with that much bearing surface. All others i've seen are 2". OEM parts look up shows 92-93 750 SS has 39159-3715 while 94+ 750 SS and all 750 XI is 39159-3717. I have a feeling the one im looking for is 92-93 750 SS

I appreciate the pics bruce. but I think my seals will sit past the taper. This still a mystery. What kawasaki driveshaft has a 3.5" bearing taper? Everyone I have found has only 2". Id hate to pay big bucks for a shaft to be made

I still haven't found this driveshaft. It seems this is same length as 750SS/XI, but with a longer taper for bearings and seals to sit. The 750SS/XI driveshafts come up short on bearing taper so won't work for me.

No theres definately 3.5" of taper. You can feel it with your finger. It's very strange, because after searching eBay for such a long time I have yet to find a driveshaft with that much taper.

The reason I want the same driveshaft is because I had skat make a custom impeller with an extra .75" on the nose so the splines/impeller seal sit right on the shaft. The driveshaft bruce measured the most rearward seal wouldn't land in the correct spot. Im sure I could find a different shaft and maybe play with spacing the bearing carrier, but I don't feel like redesigning the wheel here. Better just get a brand new, quality driveshaft that I know will work.
