You couldve use the 750 ss/xi shaft and get the correct bearing carrier for it and be done (same ish)

all drive shaft holder bearings are the same for kawi. you can stack them to get the seals closer to the motor, if thats where the smooth spot on the shaft is.

No their not the same , the bearing id is different
