Do you have a cold fusion pump alignment tool? If so, run it.

If not, buy the cold fusion tool, then run it.

I have one just wondering if the splines appear to be thinned out or compromised such that it would ruin the midshaft, resulting in decreased service life.

Once more, in case you overlooked proformance1's post: replace the o rings! Requires removal of midshaft assy. That is the only (!) thing keeping the splines lubricated. Pm me with your address and I'll send you a couple (free-since it's Christmas time)
It's only possible to replace those o rings by removing the midshaft hey?

mcmaster.com # = 9262k183, $11.13/ bag of 100. ( 2x18 mm, A70 Durometer) is what I use. Here in the US, mcmaster.com is convenient, but 2mm x 18mm , Buna N , not too hard, may be sourced where you are.
Sorry, just noticed #15 post, making this one superfluous.

According to my stalking of Augustaf's recent posting.... "mcmaster.com # = 9262k183, $11.13/ bag of 100. ( 2x18 mm, A70 Durometer)"
