What is the trick, I need to know where exactly my Dry pipe is hitting the inner liner of the hood. How do I figure it out? So I can adjust it....anyone? ( WDK ROK ...type 9 dry pipe)

The liner has already been gutted in the place over the top of the pipe and glassed, but it still hits somewhere very little. If I lift on the hood aobut a 1/4 inch, it stops. I just need some kind of a marking system to tell me where, so I can sand that spot or flatten the pipe a bit. Does that make sense?

Get some arts and craft clay and put a thin layer on the hood liner and put the hood on and where the clay is pressed thats where it touches.

Thanks guys, awesome ideas. I will try the grease first, since I got plenty of it. Oh, here come the jokes, I said " I got plenty of grease".:stups: Thanks again.

I doubt the type 9 will fit, although the type 4 barely fits with the hood liner modified.

Had to yank the motor to install it right. Yes, it's a love/hate relationship. Love the power it makes. Hate the size and the proximity of the pipe. And everyone at the lake hates me too, way too loud. Can't afford the PFP, and the B-pipe doesn't make the same power band. Oh well. Can't have it all, right?

Small update, got some Play Dough at Wallie World for $.88, works perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I even have leftovers, when I get bored.

RRP pole tube is right, and you probably noticed the frogskins on the hood, those I actually added while ego, they still get plenty of air but they are not the sole supplier of air. I actually had a thread on that, whether to add breather tubes, and got some negative feed back, kinda funny. Either way, just fixed my problem, and she sounds good. No more banging motor into my hood.
