DRY suits

well before you call me urr: understand that my skin isnt normal skin, im mostly(wish it was an exaduration) covered by scars. that and i ride in ever increasing bacteria infested water. im getting nasty skinfections after every ride! :woot:
so i NEED a dry suit, and money is an issue.

and it looks to be perfect, i just dont know tho..
and suggestions or experiences?

I wear a Slippery Sub-Zero but I haven't seen a new one available in years. I tried the Bare one years ago and didn't mind it. The slippery is hot so if you plan to wear one in the summer I'd be looking for a lightweight. You can always wear layers underneath for warmth.

My suit gets tight in the shoulders if I'm wearing too many layers and tires a guy out pretty quick. It's a fine line between being warm enough and being flexible enough to last the day.

I have heard of people wearing lycra leggings and even pantyhose to ward off Jelly fish stings. How about a long sleeve rash guard and some dark colored lycra pants.

Seems like the swimmers at the last Olympics were wearing some kind of full length lycra competition body suits also. Might want to look into that also.

Try talking to your Pharmacist, there may be some kind of antibiotic cream or gel you can apply underneath the Lycra to further protect you from some of that nasty stuff also.

I'm glad to see you're commited to keep on riding no matter what, it just seems like there should be something besides wearing a dry suit in summertime to help you out.:frown:

Here's another thought . . . . . .

Before using nitrile gloves became common practice we used to rub Vasilene on our hands before wrenching on cars or whatever, It actually gets into the skin and it helps keep the grease and grime out. Clean up was always easier that way. I wonder if something as simple as applying Vasilene or even something like A&D ointment (like you use on a baby's ass for diaper rash) prior to wearing some of the light weight protective clothing like I mentioned would do the trick ?

being summer randy didnt have much in stock, but he tryed his hardest to get me something that i want. ended up selling me his(personally) new but used(5x) suit. super nice guy and i will be buying all my jetski product through watcon..:fing02:
the suit has bootie feet instead of seals, idk if im going to like it, but im sure it will make it MUCH eaiser to get off after a hard motosurf sesh.

You can't pee in a dry suit. Well....I guess you could but yuck. He He.

That Pismo water is getting pretty nasty at times.

i never pissed in my wetsuits so no problem. actually the highend divers drysuits have "pee valves" and condom catheters. :bigeyes:
the ocean is getting sh!tty, but noone seems to care.

nice stan...if you just wear one layer under it i dont think you will get too hot...
