ok, thanks Jura

the carbs im looking at are in fact OEM 44s.

is this a good carb set for a freeride ported 760 on 62T cases?

I think I will make the jump from 61x - 62t on this deal.

I believe that MOST if not all Aftermarket 44's have a COARSE threaded highspeed adjuster like the lowspeed. OEM's have fine thread highspeed adjuster.

Also how can you tell the difference between OEM and "regular" mikunis44's it was mentioned before, but not specified enough.

Fuel nipples on the carbs.
OEM will have thin, straight aluminum fittings that are pressed in.
Aftermarket, or retail will have brass fittings that are screwed in.

You won't be able to tell linkage on individual carbs.

I am not 100% sure, but I don't think that retail Mikunis come with choke plates, either.

You have to measure the throat diameter on those or if you know the #'s on the butterflys you can go off of those.

ok, but other than diameter there is no casting differences?

is it 46mm at the top and bottom or at the butterfly? I always get confused on measurement between keihen and mikunis...

No casting difference.
Just get the number off the carb and look it up in the Mikuni tuning manual. It'll tell you what it is.

What I come to find out thru the years is Yamaha OEM carbs all came with choke plates, a Super BN only has primer fitting, not shure if the circuts are different or not. 44 to 46 you can tell by the number on the butterfly, I think 44 says 120, not shure on 46.
