Do you have a diff impellr to try? That might not be enough for your setup and your cavitating before you can hook up and his just hooks right off the line. talk to Don 79 TA he has tried all kinds of diff pitches and he might have an idea (or used one for sale)

I wondered about that, but those modified concords are hard to beat...
I'll PM Don about it.

I'll be more than happy to take a look at it - but I can't guarantee that I'll be able to fix it. ;-)

No he will not!
I think you're probably cavitating! My nozzle is 85 mm with a wet wolf cone, and I'm running a 13/17 cutback, I could probably get away with a 13/16 but have never tried. On the flip side though, I started with a 13/15, wet wolf, and stock bore nozzle and it was too much down low for me.......I think it hit full revs in about 0.003 seconds  Are you sure you're pump packing is sealing well too???

I'm pretty sure about my pump seal.
I put a new one in about 2 years ago, and put fresh hylomar on it everytime I take the pump out.

It's not like a typical cavitating boat.
It runs really well, and pulls hard.
BUT, it's not stronger than Chads.

I still think I need to nail my jetting first, then work on traction issues.
Hopefully, I can get some 95g springs before Thursday, and get it dialed in. After that's done, I'll put on the stock cone, and if that works well, I'll put on my lightend flywheel.

You won't be able to nail your jetting until your traction issues are solved because it will have different response then. It sounded on the phone like you've got just a slight slip like a clutch slipping so if you fix that, your popoff may need an adjustment.

OK, fine, I'll put the stock cone back in first. :)

OK, It's been a while, but now I have a whole new set of problems.
I put the stock cone in and that totally took care of the cavitation problem.
Now, on to the jetting.
(BTW, this is a stock stroke, ported, 85mm flat top, lamey motor)

I CANNOT repeat CANNOT make it start with the low speed screws in any less than 2 turns.
I have gone through a multitude of jetting combo's and EVERY ONE needed the low screws at 2 turns.

115/135/2.0/95 - 2 turns
120/110/2.0/95 - 2 turns
122.5/110/2.0/95 - 2 turns
125/110/2.0/95 - 2 turns
130/110/2.0/95 - 2 turns
122.5/110/2.0/80- 2 turns

Other things I've checked:
Return restrictors - not drilled out.
Fuel pump check valves and diaphragms - excellent condition.
Reeds - all 24 sit completely flat on the cages, cannot see light through them, no chips or cracks.
Compression - 183psi front, 184psi rear
:banghead: Going nuts here.

If the screws are NOT at 2 turns out, it will hesitate doing the 1/4 throttle to full test.

Any thoughts?
Where should I look next?

That popoff should work great. Besides, you can get any popoff between 15 and 35 psi to work if you try.

Here's his set-up:
Squarenose
61x cases
Z-force freestyle porting
81.5mm domed yamaha wiesco pistons
180 psi ADA girdled head
single 44
RAD flywheel
MSD Enhancer
Factory 'b' limited
solas concord 13-16 3mm cutback
85mm bored raider nozzle
stock cone

Here's mine:
Roundnose
62T ported cases
Jr Magoo's Honda/Lenzi ported Lamey Cylinder
85mm flat top Kawasaki wiesco pistons
180 psi ADA girdled head
dual 44's
61x flywheel/stator
62t CDI (no rev limiter)
Factory 'b' mod
solas concord 13-16 3mm cutback
85.5mm bored superjet nozzle
wet-wolf shortend cone.

I think that the flywheel makes a huge difference as far as low end grunt. Much more so than the enhancer. I would also slap the stock pump cone on there just to test out if you are cavitation or not. I think SLFrider had that problem, I remember talking to him and he mentioned that he just prefers his bored nozzel and stock cone b/c if feel like it hit better.

I would stick with 2.0 and 95g. That seems to be the best combo for most motor applications that I can tell
