Super Jet dual 44s on 701

I was reading a forum on here about someone putting a 760 cylinder on a 6t2 bottom end running the stock 760 dual mkuini 44s and they were talking about having to drill a second pulse line? Would you have to do this running the dual 44s on a 701 61x/62t top end?

Of it's a stock 701, I'm not sure I would bother with anything but the stock dual 38's.

It's a ported cylinder? (Don't worry about 'polished', that's nearly meaningless)

If you're going to do it, do it right and install a second pulse fitting.

Even if its ported but still at 81ish mm bore you can't go wrong with oem 38s set up right. having such high drawl or "signal" the 38 make it easy for the small displacement to pull fuel. which allows for high pop off which keeps it from loading up at idle. and allows for great throttle response.....

If you get an OEM fitting: drill a slightly smaller hole and press in the fitting. Maybe secure with some JB weld, probably not needed

If you get a threaded fitting: drill a slightly smaller hole, tap the hole, screw the fitting in. If you do this, have the cases split with the crank out so that you're not getting metal shavings everywhere. Or do a REALLY GOOD JOB catching them.

Its been my experience, that a ported 701 cylinder has much better low end power over a 760 cylinder with the same porting. I know everyone says that a 760 can be better, but with extra work, decking the cylinder etc. I wouldn't waste my time on a 760.
