in the link i posted with the picture they talk about restrictors as well as optimum operating temperatures (the water you ride in effects the temp of your engine). you may want to read it and deiced for yourself. i learned a lot from the thread, also it may take a couple tries before you find the restrictor that you need.

I still dont know where to start as far as restricting the head pisser. I mean i have a piece to put in the line, just dont know what size whole to drill.

this is probably your problem, you're missing water is most likely going into your stinger.
Nah, the pisser wouldn't be blowing smoke while im riding if water was flowing. It also seems really loud, probably from the little amount of water going through the waterbox?

are you running an o-ring head? I had a similar issue when I blew a o-ring
No, stock head. The funny thing is the ski seems to run fine, im just worried that not enough water is flowing throught the headpipe and waterbox and might cause some problems.

i used a piece of stock fuel line for my restrictors, and it worked good. cut it about an inch long and shoved it in the water line just before the pisser. also sounds like you may have a clogged headpipe or somthing. id try blocking the line that is coming off the head and overboard and see if that forces the water thru the pipe. if you still have problems then its gotta be the headpipe....cracked, clogged or somthing.

since your running dual cooling, you may also wanna try one line to the engine, one to the headpipe. then you know for sure each has its own supply.
start the ski in the water up agianst a seawall and start pulling lines one by one with it running and you will see real quick whre the problem is. if it flows steady INTO the headpipe, and not very well OUT of the headpipe, then id say shes clogged or cracked on the inside....hope any of this helps! goodluck
