SX/SXi/SXi Pro Dual cooling question

I was testing out my ski that i rebuilt with dual cooling last weekend and i noticed something interesting. Whenever i jump out of the water, the water stops coming out of one of my pissers and i can then hear the exhaust. This is coming of water line coming straight from the head to the pisser. It sounds as if someone quickly moved my exhaust opening from the right side to my left side and back again when the water starts coming again. Also on land, i can see the exhaust smoke coming out of the pisser.

I hope this is just normal and I'm being stupid, but i have never heard a dual cooling setup and hel* ive only been on 4 different skis in my life.

Here is my cooling setup

Thanks

Thanks, that all i needed to know. The only reason i ask is because the exhaust outta the opposite side scared the sh** out of me

I wasnt not really concerned about the smoke in the lines, i know that was normal. It was only the fact that it sound like i had 2 pipes when i jump out of water.

You are getting exhaust from the overboard fitting that comes straight off the head, not the one t'd to the stinger? That's the way I read it. That is no Bueno.

No, did not let throttle off in the air as im only up for a second and i dont have the time. Im not sure which pisser the exhaust was coming out off, i will check tomorrow.

I had a similar problem and it endend being a cracked pipe chamber causing a mix between cooling jacket and chamber, that caused excessive exaust in cooling line and dumpd extra water into chamber

My ski smokes out one pisser when started on land or when first started in water and continues until water flows out the pisser. While it's smoking it also sounds like a little exhaust pipe @ the pisser that's smoking. When I jump I don't see one pisser stop while the other still is flowing though and that's a little strange,

That's exactly what mine was doing when it had the crack in chamber, got it fixed and no more pisser exaust pipe

What pipe were you running and where in the chamber? I have a westcoast 650/750 currently, i will be upgrading to a limited factory pipe soon.

My skis have b-pipes.....

My 650sx with kirker I sold does it too..

The limited ski I sold with type 4 dry I don't remember if it did but the new owner is riding Saturday depending on weather I'll ask him to Check that one as well.

As stated above I think it's normal on my skis, exhaust is backing up the stinger line and out the pisser, path of least resistance until water flows and takes its place.

Not sure on yours with one flowing and one not only a few seconds out of the water

Bump... Went out today, i noticed that whenever i let off the throttle the water stops coming out of the pisser off the pipe??

Is it possible that there isn't enough water? I do have dual cooling but one of the lines is 1/4th inch through the hull and then changes to 3/8ths

I should also mention that the coupler on my westcoast popped off today. It was a nice half mile swim back to shore. Best part was when the water started pouring in through the pipe. Thank god i had a bilge pump and good battery..
