Custom/Hybrid Dustin's BOB

So I am finally get around to posting up my BOB specs. This project got started a few months ago after test riding the demo BOB. I loved the ride so much I had to get one. My build is a basic limited setup and it is just perfect. Here is the list of stuff done.

BOB Hull:
X-metal steering plate, straight bars and throttle lever
X-metal adjustable pole/bracket/chinpad
BOB enclosed footholds with front foothold
Rachet Strap

Motor/electrical:
Jetmaniac/blue 62T/61X freestyle ported motor
Factory B-Pipe
ADA head 35cc domes
MSD enhancer
JSS coils
Zero lightened flywheel

Pump:
OEM pump with hooker 9/15
X-metal Trim system

I think that is just about everything. I want to thank the Ski Clinic for the hull and all the hard work that they put into their products. These guys are top notch professionals and a huge asset to the industry. I also want to thank jetmaniac (Chris) for taking my endless phone calls ordering parts at all times of the day. He and Blue theyhave built a bad a$$ motor that works perfect in this hull. As everyone knows Chris has an excellent business and his service is the best. Attached is a few pictures of the hull and hopefully soon I can get some video up.

My lawn mower is a 5 hp Honda industrial reel mower. The thing gets after it.

I am very anxious to see some video. I have the same motor on the way to me for my 300sx build. Do you have a finished weight on this? I'm shooting for around 250 lbs total, and running a kawi 140mm pump. I heard lots of good things about that motor, but never saw any video of it in a lightweight freestyle hull.

Thanks guys for the compliments! I don't have any video yet and I probably won't for a few weeks. Last night was my last ride for a while it's going back to Derrick to get really dialed in. I completely love the setup, I weighed out at 270 ready to ride. I am a little heavy but I wanted a heavier layup. I know for a fact that once you pit that motor in you will be super stoked. The thing rips! There are a few guys on here that have them in superfreaks and everyones reaction is the same.

Trevor he did it off a single boat wake it took him about 20 times to get down. You need to come out! The water is shut off and we only have about 2 or 3 weeks of riding left on the river down here.
As far a selling the superjet and octane you should keep them both and buy a BOB. Its a budget build right!!!!

Do you have to re-inforce a B.O.B. for surf riding?

The ski clinic builds them to your specs. McDog is the only one that I know of that reinforced his. I believe that his hull was splitting.

Hey Dustin, I was one of the drivers of the boat one time while one of you guys were trying the back flips. It was a 91 bayliner capri. I wish I was there when he flipped it and landed it. When I was there someone kept landing upside down, but showed a lot of balls. You are talking about off Jackson Ave. right? I rode this past Sunday and there's still water, but I think backflips in it would be out of the question.

I think that was the day my brother launched at Jackson Ave a about three weeks ago? That was his first time riding it, he said that he came close but not all the way. Since then we have been riding at Newtons Landing further south and that's where he pulled it off. We haven't been out in about two weeks BOB has been at the world finals. A couple of us are going to Pismo this weekend and we always go to Lake Kaweah during to off season. Let me know if you want to meet up and ride with some of the guys.
