looks like a properly tuned setup in a feather weight hull. Very cool.
Hers is some Crankshaft testing data .
ADR Crank full circle makes 15 hp 20 flb torque less between 5200 to 6300 rpm but make 4 hp more on top from 6600 to 7000.
than the PHP Crank.
So why does the PHP make more mid range? It is lighter and is a Pork chop style.
-The test was with same carbs, cases , Cyl ,domes ign only thing was was changed was going to a PHP crank.
-It is all about the crankcase volume. Increased volume = less pressure = less blown out the EX at low RPM
-If your looking for more top end then go with the ARD.
-If your looking for that mid range package then go with the PHP. Little more cost.
Now most won"t see all the gains unless you run a tall prop 13/19 is what i used in the water testing and it was a huge dif.
With a Low pitch like a 9/17 that I just installed couldn't compare cause first ride at Daytona will know more in a couple months.
It's all about the prop setup for you app.
