Ebay and Shoppingads - please read if you buy anything off Ebay

The way Shoppingads works is we are a referrer, so if you buy something off Ebay by clicking on one of those ads, we get a small commission out of the seller fees. We 'referred' the buyer, so we get paid.

Also, the concept works on links posted to the forums, so if you're going to buy something, click a link in a post to help us get the commission. It doesn't cost the buyer or seller anything, just Ebay gets a slightly smaller profit.

If you're going to buy ANYTHING and want to help, post a new thread in new forum then click on the link in the post. That is a private forum, only you can see your own threads/posts, not even the admins can see them, so nobody will know what you're buying.

I'm hoping this can do away with the need for donations entirely. The first week was very good and other forum owners have had great experiences with it.

Just curious Darin, I was going to bid on something that was listed on one of the ads on here but I always use an online snipe tool. Works best for me since I don't have to be at a computer at the auction's end to bid.

But will the X still get a percentage of the sale? Just checking.

I don't know.

do you only get a commission if the part in the ad is bought?

or if i were to click an ad for a 550 impeller, and end up buying a throttle cable from someone else (or the same person), do you get a commission because i accessed ebay through the link on the x?

I think only if you buy that clicked ad. That's what the Ebay forum is for, if you find something you're going to buy on Ebay, post it in there, the forum will append our affiliate id onto it for you, then click on that link to buy it. Nobody else will know you even bought anything, and you can delete the post/thread after anyway. So, noone will know if you're buying Speed Racer or Hello Kitty Underoos... :clown:

I guess I am to blame for throwing this off topic.

Anyway, do it, buy stuff on Ebay by clicking the links here.

Just a reminder, if you buy stuff off Ebay, before you buy it, post a link in the Ebay Ads forum, then click that link to buy it so X-h2o gets a commission out of the seller fees. Any ebay link on the site will have our affiliate id added to it so that's why clicking the link helps.

The forum is private, noone else, not even admins, can see your posts/threads so we won't know whta you're buying or try to grab a good deal out from under you.

Some of the auction ads it's showing now are not jetski related. Are they showing up because it's a X member's auction?
