Nah, something's up with the keywords at auctionads' website, so they're just showing generic items.

I'll toy around with it later but I'm sure they will straighten it out.

Yeah, we're covering the hosting plus some right now. Whether or not it continues, we'll see. So far we haven't actually received any money due to me having the account payment details wrong, but the December 1 payment should be really big because of that.

My plan is if we make more than the hosting in a month, to pay another month of hosting and leave the excess in our Paypal account. Since we're paid up through Feb and will probably pay an extra month each month, we'll stay 4 months ahead on hosting and build up cash for t-shirts or giveaways or contests or something.

Maybe I'll just give everyone a dollar?

Just an update, the Auctionads are doing great, keep on buying stuff.

Expect to see some big giveaways coming soon...

Either that, or you'll see me pull into Daytona in a BMW towing an EME1000.

I did my first one today. Wasn't Jet Ski related, but hey, maybe it helped a little. :Banane19:

They all help.

I will say this, we're averaging over $25/day in earnings right now, so we pay for hosting in 7 days basically.

Expect some fun stuff coming up in the next month or so.

Several people asked me in Daytona how the Ebay ads are working out.

One word, AWESOME.

If you saw me handing out x-h2o stickers there, those were paid for buy the Shoppingads revenue.

We are paying a month of hosting every month, and since we're paid up 4 months in advance already, we'll stay that way. The money in the Paypal account is 'clear' money, so it will go toward my new Mercedes, I mean prize giveaways, t-shirts, etc.

My stress level on hosting fees has gone to zero now, and we can finally do some of the fun stuff we've talked about all along.

So, buy stuff off Ebay! If you're going to buy something, anything, does not have to be jetski related, before buying it, post it in the Ebay Ads forum (only you can see your thread/post, not even admins can), then click that link so we get credited for the purchase.

I changed the ads a little. You can click the little green arrow on them now to get a refresh of the ads only. I have the keywords for them set pretty well so they show stuff we're interested in. It's a quick way to browse Ebay.

bump, we're still making money but it's dropped off quite a bit to where it's just over what we need each month to cover the bills. I'm not sure if it's from Ebay changing their fees so we get less referral $$, or people buying less during winter, or what.

Just a reminder, if you are going to buy something off Ebay, post a link in the Ebay Ads forum (noone else can see your posts, not even me) so the forum can rewrite the link and add our referrer info onto it, then click that link so we earn a percentage out of the seller fees to help with stickers, etc.

I'm hoping we have enough $$$ to get a custom theme made up, but kinda wary of spending that much money just yet.

What does a custom theme cost? and what is a custom theme? It sounds enticing, guess I need to buy some more parts for my ski. . .

Yes, the ads up top didn't really make any money, but the links being posted/rewritten do, so I kept those and am trying other stuff.

I may just do away with them completely as long as the Shoppingads/Ebay links deal keeps on producing.

Several questions some that were already asked... What is a custom theme? and How much does it cost?

Now for a real question... Do i just post a link to the listing and then do I have to stay on that page till the auction ends... I usually bid at the last minute...

How does that work?

The dark blue is the custom theme, already using it. It ended up being a free one, but I had the guy do some customizing for us.

Just post a link in the special Ebay Ads forum, then click the link in your post (the board will rewrite it) and as long as you buy it in the next 30 days and the cookie on your computer is still set, then we get the credit and a small portion of the seller's fee.
