The seller is responsible for what he writes in communications (the invoice) as is the buyer, so if there was a mistake, it is unfortunate for the seller.

.

Find that in writing somewhere cause I don't believe it's true ,people make type o's all the time and use that to retract bids to see what the high bid is all the time so I'm doubting it

Remember Ebay wants this transaction to take place and is all about the seller in this case .
more transactions = more money for ebay and Paypal(an Ebay company)

I would have no problem either, for $5-$10 more, but in this case, if I understand correctly, it sounds like the seller is asking for a lot more money above the $30.00.

I'm betting it does cost $65.00 for shipping a cylinder and pistons to Australia.just a guess but it weighs a lot .

does anyone know how much it weighs ??

if the guy had said to me
i have made a mistake
its cost this much then i would have had the choice of buying or finding another way
but i got this "your shiping was 65.33 you owe me 35.33"

thats after i have paid for the shipping
as far as costing that well it may do if he uses the wrong system but he should have given me a choice and i would have used sea freight

I usually offer 3 types of shipping ,2-3 days or 2-3 weeks or 4-6 weeks so the buyer can choose what he/she wants to spend .

I wouldn't worry about it if he already shipped it man ,I think it shows his commitment to you as a good seller cause he sent it without charging you first but he may leave you negative feedback if you leave it for him first .I wouldnt leave feedback if I was you .

Exactly, Wax is now stuck to either pay more money or lose some of his original payment. That is wrong on the seller's part. Keep in mind that the seller can get a refund of the Final Value fees if they mutually agree to cancel te transaction.

Hangtime, I don't know where that is written, or if it even is spelled out verbatim, but I do know that every transaction on eBay is a legal binding agreement. I have even seen some go to The People's Court over things (kinda funny, but nonetheless real). Most transactions are not worth the trouble though.

Wax, do not leave feedback, negative or positive. If he chooses to leave negative feedback, then you should also, something like "Difficult Seller to work with" asking the reader to contact you for details and email exchanges (since the space provided is too small to explain everything).

He sent the item already so Wax doesn't have to do anything if he doesn't want to .
but risks a negative feedback which I think isn't worth the $35.00.

I've been on both sides of this argument and I 've paid too much for shipping as a buyer but as a seller you have to get what it costs ,this guy is stupid for sending it before getting payment for it .

Wax can say F you and just not pay if he wants to :sneaky:

he got payment on his orginal quote
he should have given me the chance to discuss if was going to pay the extra
thisis what i wrote to him an email
"ken i am not about screwing people and i am not about being screwed
i would have got to use the shipping not air freight at that price

If it on the box at the price you say then i would like to pay you half and
leave it a learning curve for both of us
are you in aggreance with this
Jared"

he came back with some hostile remarks about me screwing him
he can take a leap for his extra money

I just went to www.usps.gov. Assuming that this can be classified as a regular (not oversized) package, I used 15 pounds, which I think to be a pretty good approximation of the cylinder (plus packaging). It turns out to be $36.45. If it is 20 pounds then it is $43.30 using surface, the method that Wax would have selected. Either way, it is a little more than the originally stated cost.

Wax, if he has already shipped, I would recommend you ask him to "meet in the middle" and split the added cost. If he refuses, then he is a poor seller. Take a look at his feedback received and left for others to get an idea of how he is too.

I just looked at his feedback. I don't think he'll leave you negative feedback over this. If he does, he stands to get one from you and it will be a mar against him as a seller. He only has one negative. He also only left one (it was in retaliation, i.e., time-stamped after the seller left it for him). Boy, am I a loser or what, comparing timestamps on eBay feedback on a Saturday night:frown:

See what his next request is and use your best judgement.

Good luck.

UPS doesn't offer a slow option, don't ask me why. They do offer freight, but I don't know if that would work for a flywheel.

I always ship USPS when I ship out of the country. Australia seems to be the most expensive to ship to, and when you pick the 4-6 week option it often takes longer (one time I shipped an exhaust and it took about 10 weeks). The heavier stuff seems to take longer.

Speaking of Ebay Wax... I need you to look someone up for me, they bought a set of cylinders from me and never paid :sneaky:

USPS surface shipping is the go for flywheels.

I've had 2 come over here from the states, and it will cost $21.50, or there abouts. It should arrive in a week or two.
