the crank is rusted,the rear bearing is totally shot. and the other 3 bearings are noisy. he packed it in a box no bag around the crank packing material all wedged everywhere in the bearings. the only thing this crank is good for is a core. i emailed him and he has not responded although he is active and listing other items for sale. i filed a claim with paypal we'll see what happens. but at best i will probably still be out $50, the $30 he charged for shipping and the $20 it's gonna cost me to ship it back.

I'm just saying the picture is suspicious, as cranks are supposed to be shiny. You definitely got ripped if it has bad bearings. It's funny he said he was saving it, and it has low hours. Maybe he ment to say "low hours because the first time out it injested a gallon of saltwater and sat for 3 months" :bs2:

Sorry to hear that Tim. The picture does look kinda bad, but his description makes it sound like a used, but like new cond crank.

yeah i know i should have paid more attention to the picture. but i had just bought some cases,cylinder, and a riva head and then saw this and just hit the buy it now without really checking it out. well the cylinders were good,the cases are coming from gordy so i'm sure they will be good, and the head is from vomitspot on this forum so i'm sure that will be fine. i just have bad luck when it comes to used cranks. it seems that i bought one once off of a well respected veteran member of the boards and even that was bad. hmm what was that guys name?

your right i did get my money back on that one. now if only i could get my trailer back. i'm back up to 4 ski's again and need a bigger trailer. i was almost out too sold off everything except for 1 superjet. it's a disease i tell you there's no way out.

That trailer is awesome!!! It hauls four Superjets and camping gear. You sold that sucker to me for 300 bucks or so, right? :arms:

It's all cut up in my garage right now. Refoaming and reinforcing.

Hey, whatever happened to put that crack on the bottom? It looks like there was a gnarly crack on the side and bottom.
Someone did a pretty decent job fixing it though.

I took that trailer 2000 miles to Chicago and drove back a GP760 and an Ultra 150 back on it. And a Superjet in the truck.

that crack happened at havasu i got hit by a boat. i was tunning the ski got on it and shot out of a cove. i wasn't paying attention and pulled out right in front of a boat i threw the ski away just as the boat was about to run me over. the guy on the boat thought he killed me when the superjet popped up without a rider. oh the memories...

Haha...nice. Seems like you did a good job fixing it. I ground the ribs off for reinforcing and found the repair to be very sturdy.

Ya, exactly.. That pic looks like crap and he descibes it as good to go.
I would not buy a used crank on Ebay ever, only from a well know X-h20 or PWCT member.

well here is an update he wouldn't respond to me at all but when i filed a claim with paypal he responded to them. i got this today

i can't beleive he is actually trying to fight it when he knows he sold junk.
