I've placed a couple orders with McMaster and still haven't found an identical match. I have a few hundred that are too big, and 200 that are just a smidge too small.

I tried the 14-10x1's and found them too big. There are choices within the dimension so perhaps I just ordered the wrong ones.

I went off the measurements and then ordered 10-14x1 but they were too small.

I just ordered 28 OEM off eBay that will be just right...and more expensive for 28 than what I paid for all the wrong ones I bought.

Here's a pic for comparison, OEM is in the middle;

Well that's a good thing you Clarified something that is posted on the thread that is considered to work .....but really does not. The second one in the second picture looks closest , but still off.

I wonder if there is a way to Cross Ref from the Yamaha Pt. # to find what the OEM size really is.

The 14-10x1's might be a good option if you have any stripped out holes in your ebox. I was worried about cracking it though so I never tried it. I'm also worried that if you don't match the thread perfectly, it might not seal well enough.

The thread pitch on these is perfect but the outside of the threads measure 0.205" where OEM is 0.234" and the shank is 0.145" where OEM is 0.20"

you are the reason
I had an ebox with all 14 X 1 hex head lags very nice to work on. Zero water penetration. Well not exactly sure on the length it could have been 7/8"

I bought the 14x1 from Lowes for .50cents a piece exactly like the top screw in picture they are a little thicker and seem to work perfectly .

@jo5hi3 has the best ebox screws I've ever seen. They use a 10mm hex so never have to worry about rounding out a screw again. Got them for my personal ski but its in storage so cant get a pic at the moment but they can be found in stainless at lowes

Do you know the threaded Length ? Maybe a PT # from him would be good .

Phillips head screws suck, I'll take an allen or socket head any day. Just take one of your screws to your local hardware store and find ones that match.
