Ebox screws?

Has anyone found an alternative to oem ebox screws? I have the largest assortment of screwdrivers known to man and I only have one that fits halfway decent. Would prefer a cap head screw if it was available..there’s a hardware supply place in town that has everything but they don’t have anything with the right threads.

My local Ace hardware had some screws that matched, but they weren't stainless. They still have the same weird oversized phillips. I just use a small impact driver and push down hard. I haven't stripped any since.

Oem Japanese screws are “JIS” Japanese Industry Standard. They are just a little different than Phillips and can be damaged trying to use a Phillips. You can buy JIS screwdrivers and impact bits.

I found some screws at Fastenal that seem to be serving as a good replacement and they have a hex head to address the exact problem you described.

It's part number 1173106 at Fastenal. They are 18-8 A2 Stainless Steel screws. You can get a pack of 50 for $15 or so. It was the closest diameter that I could find as a good stainless replacement for the OE screws. They are slightly smaller in diameter than the OE screws but they have been holding my e-box together just fine and I think the more important thing is to have a good solid gasket between the two e-box halves. Hope this helps.
