EJ's ratchet strap system

I've run one for years successfully. Beware though, my strap snapped the other day after a high flat landing, it had been rubbing on the front edge of the hood right under the pole and had slowly worn through. I also run mine slightly diagonally, mounted on the left side under the pole and my ratchet is on the right side. This helps to counteract the force of landing a barrell roll side on if not plate to plate

no special way to mount it, just poke a hole in the end of the strap and put one of the bolts that holds your umi bracket through the strap end. or you can tap two new holes in the bracket and hold the strap ends that way.
