I got two 80's JS550's last Dec. I finally had the one with an engine running only to find for some reason the hull would fill up with water faster then the sump could remove. So I hunted around and found a 550SX with footholds a few hours away. Swapped over my piston port 550. I know the pp engine isn't much for power, but I'm 100lbs even so it works plus I'm sure the sx pump will wake the engine up a lot. For 500 dollars total ready to go I cant really complain. lol

The footholds, they need some sanding lol

not bad for a first time pulling a ski apart, took 6 hours total using the internet as a tear down guide.

I wish I could have got on the pond I tested the red one in, but thunderstorms blew in literally the minute I wrapped up. I'm going to look at some upgrades this winter, but with a few months left in the season I want to get some time on it before tearing it down again.

I got it into the pond to test finally, the gate and pump hook up a lot harder then what was on the JS. Also noticing since the rear pontoons are gone it can be flicked around a lot easier but high speed turns are a whole new beast.
