You need to check that the shaft/coupler will line up. Only a couple inches between bottom of hull and midshaft coupler. Unless you go with belt or chain etc.I was looking at this

Took her out for a ride on fully charged battery and put the motor/controller in full power setting. Only hit 18mph. Not sure if I should go up to a 17 or down to a 15 degree impeller to get rpms/speed up?
I have a 650 pump and a 750 driveshaft. But not sure I want to spend the time or money on this thing doing a pump swap. and Keep throwing around the idea of putting this drivetrain in my carbon freestyle ski.I am fairly convinced that the biggest change on my freestyle 300SX came not from the engine swap but from swapping in the 650 pump, I wish I had tried it with the 550 reed engine and 650 pump it would have been interesting., the 440 pump sucks a$$.
What I did on mine was leave the front section of the tunnel and somewhere around here I still have the mold for the back section, it all lined up pretty well actually.I have a 650 pump and a 750 driveshaft. I had been thinking about that issueYou need to check that the shaft/coupler will line up. Only a couple inches between bottom of hull and midshaft coupler. Unless you go with belt or chain etc.
One more option, I saw on the 300SX FACEBOOK page a few guys were putting in 550 pumps with aluminum brackets that bolted to the stock bearing box location, no bodywork needed but I do think they had to have the driveshafts shortened , any pump is better than a 440 pump , trust me on this one. That 550 mixed flow pump is much better for bottom end thrust and it was designed as a lower RPM pump.
might just take you up on that! Have any props too?I think I have a whole 550 pump setup here, I am really not planning to ever build another 550, if I do it will most likely be built with a 650 pump and engine or possibly a 640 Tigershark engine since I have several here to choose from.
I built a 4000w drift trike and have been wanting to do this. Got the trike up to 35 and only slowed because of a frame wobble. I get two hours out of the battery but the wire get very hot. The small Tesla motor would be sweet lolHaven't tried with the new setup, but in the last video with the speed runs and me trying to ride it, the kiddo got around 20-25 minutes. I also have another battery so I can swap them out pretty fast and put one on the charger (45-60min).
Including the cost of the hull around 1200$.@Quinc ballpark what did you end up spending on this? I am considering making a jetboard/electric surf board and thinking that this may be a good starting point.

What are you thinking for the pump? Seems like jetsurf has it figured out. But not sure if you could buy just the pump from them.@Quinc ballpark what did you end up spending on this? I am considering making a jetboard/electric surf board and thinking that this may be a good starting point.
