I prefer the ride of the 550 hull. Best kawi hull ever made. Would give you the option to try a 140 pump later on.

I picked the 1990 550sx ski yesterday! Any ideas on what impeller to go with? the electric motor seems to like the PJS 17 in the 440 pump best. Not sure what that equates to in the 550.

17 is really steep for the 440 pump and 15 -15.5 is the basic pitch for a 550 pump, so I would say maybe a progressive pitch 13/16 or a straight pitch 16.

not in that pitch range, there should be quite a few floating around out there from guys that have swapped over to 750 pumps.

Test fitting a new battery. Honda clarity li-ion cut up and redone into 20s 1p. 72v 25ah. Should give the kiddo about 50% more ride time. Plan is to get a gps run with the new coupler setup on the 300sx. Then swap everything over to the 550sx. I have a skat 15 impeller a buddy gave me to try with first. Then going to try and find a skat 14/17.

I am grinder not a welder. Pack needs to be under pressure so cut up and refit the brackets.
