This popped up on Amazon today, not fond of the price but I bet you could find it cheaper or source out the axle alone for a great starting point.
I was looking at those as well. But after replacing everything needed i dont think they are worth it. Go on craigslist/facebook and do a search for DR powerwagon. Converted one of these to electric for my parents (haul firewood) and it would work. Just need to make some adapters to run the bigger wheels.

And latest update. I finally found a 9T motor sprocket, so waiting on that. And still waiting on Thumb throttle from ebay..

I was able to use my electric cart for a full day of moving skis. Using google maps for beach distance I was able to go 0.4 miles before I noticed a slowdown on speed. The beach has a gentle slope, usually takes 2-3 guys to push a ski back up the beach. My current setup is lightweight so my total battery capacity is 24 volts at 10ah. Throw in a couple car batteries at 100ah and you'll get some range. Luckily the parking is close to the water so I can easily move 5-7 skis without issue.

I am running 18 or 20ah batteries with a ton of gear reduction so should be able to get a couple miles out of it. I am still working through what I like and dont like about it. But main goal is smallest footprint possible. Need to be able to fit all my families camping gear etc in the truck. And being able to de-tatch the main cart so I can still launch her in knee deep water and leave my cart to float back to the beach.

My friend @Sasquachcrap built this beach mobile and uses a rc transmitter to control it. After a little massaging and tinkering, it does excellent in the sand. I believe took 10 or skis on and back off the beach at topsail freeride which was a good 1/8 mile treck on the beach and up a small dune and staircase before needing a charge.
I talked with him about it when he was building it. He deff has the coolest cart!

My current gear reduction has the top speed at 3.1mph, which is a brisk walk especially walking in the sand. Ideally I'd like it around 2-2.5mph and drop the amperage down, but the cost of larger sprockets is about the same as a second set of batteries so it would be easier to have a charged spare in the car if needed.

What controller are you using? Are you not able to add a throttle and control the speed?
something like this should work unless you need a ton of amps.

I am using variable speed controllers, but I'd like to have a bit more torque at the wheels at full throttle and take some of the stress off the batteries. The motors are supposed to pull 18 amps each, and from my reading the 10ah sla batteries can tolerate 31amps for 7 minutes, 21 amps for 30 minutes. Longest non stop run is probably 2-3 minutes so I'm barely in the green.

What motor and size chain are you using? You might be able to find a smaller motor sprocket. Or go with a gear reduction motor.
