Electrical issue 650sx

Guys, I'm at my wits end here. So bought a 1987 650sx with a newer motir with 1 year warranty. Ran it for 2 hours and ran great. Upon trying to restart it near the end of the day it was boggy and took a long time to start. Hasnt started since. I inspected start switch looks good but not 100 % sure, put a new coil in it, battery is charged, now I'm thinking stator. Am I on the right track? It is absolutely getting fuel. I have new plugs galore. I just want to know if I'm missing something before I spend another 200 bucks on a stator, which if anyone has one I am in the market! Thanks in advance.

I could be your stator, sounds like then exact same thing my x2 started doing last week and now won't start at all. Going to pull the flywheel cover off tomaro and see what the stator looks like. I let you know what I find out

My starter kicks in and out also but I believe that is from it firing once in awhile but not enough to start it

Ok, so I moved the ski off the trailer onto my stand. When i moved it onto the garage fuel/oil mix was running out of the exhaust. There was quite a bit. Could I just be flooded like no other? If so would the culprit be the fuel pump? I am so confused
