Other electrical issue wont click or crank. fixed.

im about to torch it.

push start nothing happened. i used a jumper from the battery to the brown wire on the ebox side. it cranks fine. so i figured i had a bad start/stop switch. i yanked the one off the blaster and tried it. nothing. no spark no crank no click. checked out the wiring harnesses and they look fine with no corrosion or messed up connections.
where should i go next with this?

I've never heard of putting power to the brown wire from the battery. I guess it's the same as jumping the red and brown start/stop wires.

If jumping the brown/red wires starts the ski then the problem is between the connectors and the start/stop switch.

IF you can only get it to start from jumping the brown wire to the battery and not the red wire then there is something wrong with the red power wires inside the ebox causing them to not get power. I'd check the fuse first.

fuse is good.
i guess i dont understand the flow of currency through these boxes but i would imagine the + comes into the box thru the fuse then continues. by jumping the start stop it cranks.

is the red/brown wires for the start portion and the black/white for the stop. should there be consistent power coming from the red? so i would go up the red to the switch and return to the ebox from the brown??

The positive wire gets its power from the + battery side of the starter relay, then it runs to the fuse and then to the red wire on the start stop switch, the start stop switch connects the red and brown wires, the brown wire goes back to the starter relay to actuate it.

I forgot!
yes that sounds right. green button = connects red and brown. tether on = disconnects white and black/ enables red (to connect to brown) red button = white/black connected. i think that is how it goes.

take the S/S Switch apart and clean it just to be sure, its a very simple switch....just do it on a table so you don't loose the small parts, Also check your wires leading up to the switch, one could be pinched enough to have cut the wire inside the insulation

not this. i started the blaster with its switch. then yanked it and tried in on this ski and nothing.

should i be able to take a wire and touch the brown and red inside of the harness that runs into the ebox and have it crank. doing so gets me nothing. only will crank by touching the brown to the battery.

That's just bypassing the switch, if it starts doing that your problem has to be in the switch? Right?

i would think that would do the same thing but i get nothing. now i cant find my volt meter to see if there is power on that red wire.
ebox is open and nothing looks loose our out of place.
the pink and small black wires were meant for the heat sensor. just trying to rule stuff out.

Take the dam fuse out (completely remove it's existence) and make sure the the pink wire isnt touching anything, did you check your battery yet? Or your ground

did you try reversing the wires.... plug the red/brown. into the black white. and try to start it with the stop button?

or try it with the black not connected .

its gone. in the box the battery comes in connects to a post. that post connects to another post which runs to the starter. also off those posts is a ground(black) and the brown wire that runs to start stop switch. touching the brown to the battery post cranks it. so that means its got to have power to crank it (duh) BUT touching the brown to any of the other red wires in the box gets me nothing. i guess i will just redo ever red connection? are there any components that could be cutting off the flow. cdi?

i did try that. but i get what your saying. ill try it again but i think the issue is in the box. there isnt power flowing from the box.
