Electronics for 781BB

Im thinking of running just an enhancer and a light flywheel with a 781bb in my bob, anyone have experience with this combo? I want to keep the reliabilty over the total loss. Also what stator and ebox should I run with this set up? I have a complete box and stator already but Im not sure it its a 61x or a 62t, is there a way to tell the difference?

You can search for the difference between them physically. Performance wise it isn't a while lot. The key is to just have the flywheel and stator match. CDI doesn't matter which. If you upgrade to EPIC, you're supposed to have 62t stuff or if you get an aluminum flywheel, they are for 62t stators, so keep that in mind.

I personally have a lightened 61x flywheel with an MSD Enhancer on my 781bb. I chose it because it's cheap, it works great, and I don't plan to get that other stuff.

OK how do I tell what stator I have physically? markings or something I should be looking for to tell the difference?

Have an enhancer but Im not sure what stator I have as in 61x or 62t as I purchased the box used and the seller couldnt remember what it came out of. Any way to tell by markings on the part itself? I need to know which flywheel to buy

Here's some pictures from JetManiac's for sale thread. You can see the coils are placed further toward the outside on the 62t as the inside diameter of that flywheel is larger. On the 61x, you can see that top charge coil ends about 2/3 or so into the oval hole for the stator screw. On the 62t, it only extends maybe 1/3 of the way into that screw hole.

61X n 62T look nothing like each other

62T looks just like a kawasaki 650 flywheel

post picture n ill tell you what you have

I was told 61X flywheel is slightly lighter then a 62T

I don't think he has a flywheel. Just a stator. For that, I look at the holes on the front of the flywheel. Half moon for 61x or circle for 62t.
