Ok, in the interest of full disclosure, I try to be as positive as I can about everything I ride. Also a member of TXJ now works for EME full time, Ryan close personal friend and ride partner. I consider Chucky, Xscream and Kyle, Dasa, Paul of LPW friends, list goes on....
Before the Lake Erie Freeride last year I have had the pleasure of owning a few dasas, riding numerous Xscream motors, riding numerous EME products, some developmental etc. One thing that is awesome about being in Team Xtreme, is all the members and team mates. Everyone has a different style and different skis, freak, Rickter, Bob, KDX, Brawler, rok, rock r, matrix, evo, footrockets, Q8, mirco, numerous different SJ's, etc, etc. sorry missing a few more there.
I was at WF and rode the EMEs immediatly after the competition, with DK and a very nicely tuned BOB 2 with a DASA 885. Very nice night for me, cleared up bunch of questions and thoughts. Eme 1200 has a ton of power, have i ridden better tuned Dasa, 1200's yes, have I seen better tuned xscream 1200's yes. Have I ridden worse Dasa 1200s yes, have i seen worse tuned xscreams yes. Does that confuse you more? It shouldnt, hopefully I have answered your question, the most honestly I possibly can.
Out of all the stuff that runs good there is a theme, TUNING & RIDER SKILL. I have said it before and i will say it again, If you trust the motor builder and know they will help you tune etc, buy it. It will work perfectly for you, every time. How many friends do you have that bought all the right parts, only to have the package not perform to their expectations? I know a bunch. Its not the motor, its not the hull, its the entire package. Then there is the skill debate, but thats not for this thread. If I were buying a new EME hull, id buy am EME motor and Kawi style Skat pump. If I were buying a Xscream hull, id buy an Xscream motor etc. That being said, i just bought a KDX with a DASA 1100, LOL
