Short version of the story, my buddy spent close to $40,000 on a complete 1100 matrix, Trinity composites signed a contract for the completion date. The hull was delivered 8 months late after alot of excuses and only because some members on the site actually drove to trinity grabbed the hull and actually assembled it. BOBBY still owes hims money and parts and I don't know when he ever would have got his ski if it wasn't for a few members on this site

I purposely didn't place it in neg. feedback because:
1. I knew they would likely not come on here and respond
2. I wanted other people's experience.
3. It was still in progress.
4. I got a great outcome.

So if the parties not involved want to discuss, where do we do that? Cause if I was buying a hull and wanted to ask opinions of people and then someone comes on the thread I started and gives "FACTUAL (at least from your side) dealings with companies/people" as stated in your link above, and it was negative about the company(but FACTUAL), that now becomes bashing and is moved to the negative feedback section?

Discussions are fine. Discussions are open to fanboys and haters to post all they want. Negative feedback is for posting each side of the story only by parties involved without unnecessary comments, insults, etc. When it gets serious and personal it goes to negative feedback.

I think negative feedback should be only for transactions made through this site OR if someone chooses to make their outside transaction public information and posts it there themselves to protect and warn other buyers. So if someone posts a negative opinion/situation about a company and a transaction outside of this site they should be able to post it somewhere in the general thread for public discussion. (Just like Matt_E's battery situation)

This is a pretty small industry compared to most but because of that it's very publicly discussed amongst fellow riders so it's important to treat every customer with respect and importance because word travels fast. Customer service can make or break you quickly

You will notice that slander is spoken false statements that do harm.

Libel is written false statements that do harm.

To win a legal claim for either it has to be proven that it was known to be false and that it did specific harm.
