Enclosed foothold question

I have been using 24-7 footholds for years and am thinking of switching to an enclosed foothold like the the Waterdawg REV or the XFT.

Do you have difficulty removing your feet for mid-air tricks like can cans or no-footers with enclosed footholds? Are the XFT footholds set as far back in the tray as they look?

i went from 24-7 to xft's... i love the xft's cause your feet never fall out when inverted, etc. but are easy to pop out when wanted... however, they do bring your feet a little closer together which i now do now like.

i am going to be trying my 24-7's again, but build in enclosures to the front / toe part like the ones butti just posted.

as long as i can keep my toes kicked in, i feel golden.

I have 24/7's in my OE hull and always liked them just fine. My XFT hull came with Sergio's holds installed and I can hardly ride anything else now. They are pretty far back, but could be moved forward if you are doing the install. I like tham a lot. They're also easy to get out of if you decide to throw the boat away mid air.

I forgot!
i know the xft's trapped my feet when landing no hander's and i fell backwards. a little scary if the throttle was stuck. Fyi my buddy had his feet trapped in his WCF holds. both types really do lock your feet it. i do not like the fact that the xft's install back so far and need to be hacked up to be moved forward.

Not to high jack. I am waiting for a set of xft to come in for my ski.Going to fab so that they move my feet out and not so far back (no rear exust tube) tray out. Glad to hear that full closers are workable. I think this is the way to go over what i have on my other ski.
