The colored stuff looks good for a couple months but will start to degrade, stiffen, discolor and basically just become far more trouble than it's worth. Plenty of us made the mistake of swapping when it first came out and plenty of us all went back to OEM, Tygon or other "unpretty" quality hose simply because it needs to work far more than it needs to look good.
Good post, I went with colored line after looking at all these nice builds on here but I think I will go back to the "threaded" normal line. I've noticed the colored stuff is a bit stiff and it also isn't nearly as heat resistant.

Fuel line, cold fusion got hard on me after two years and was discoloring. Back to oem stuff.

Thrust has same as oem but new and 20ft was 60$ to my door.

Jetmanic also sells the same line as thrust.

I change cooling lines around from hand warmers to side cooling twice a year. For me it is just easier to use braided clear from ace and throw it out if discolored or hard.

i dont consider the gates high end cooling and fuel lines to add anything to pretty up the engine bay. ive just never found better. had many different colored lines and all lasted a couple years, but thats it. although in comparison my cooling lines at 15'x$8:31 a foot=124.65 before tax-Gates part#H500. i get a little discount and was partially sponsored with By local Napa store, there just inst much mark up on this product. The fuel lines and Napa gold Wix fuel filter where donated and payed for by the owner. my wife bought the other hose for me so i would have the best. i got 20' 1/4' gates high end black fuel line. price is ~$1:30 a foot x 20=~$26.00 before tax. Gates 1/4" fuel line part#h190 thats more then most want to spend up front including me! if you take into account spending 40-60 a years on hard broken lines. it pays off in the long run. if you want a new color every year the gates is not for you.
those are the bulk part numbers, sold by the foot. and easily available at most Napa auto parts stores

This year I'm using low pressure fuel line from McMaster. All I did was search fuel line, scroll down, and there it was. I'm using the 1/4" ID for fuel and 3/8" ID for cooling lines. It's black, very soft, and cheap. I think you can find similar stuff at auto parts stores.
