Your engine should have no issues running at full throttle if it's jetted correctly. My engine has done the mark Hahn 300 multiple times with no issues. That race is 5 hours long and you're wide open the whole time.

It all comes down to your setup.

I thought the consensus diagnosis here was that he is having a fuel issue. I wouldn't run it wide open for 10 minutes if there was any doubt
I think we are saying if it was tuned right it should absolutely be possible to run for 10 min wide open. So he does need to sort out a fueling issue.

Ok, turned out the high speed screws to 2 turns, blasted through the creeks and as usual when running wide open across the bay, again engine started to drop off rpm's so I floated at idle for a minute or so gave it throttle and all is good as long as I vary the speed. Should I change the main jet from the 135 in now to a 137.5? I would really like to put this issue to rest.

Plugs were very dark brown and read very rich just following your last ride when i was shown them. Upping the main will do nothing to help this issue with your tuning already as rich as it is. Need to look into cylinder/head temp and make sure not cold seizing. Temp label on head and a 15 min ride will tell where to go from here.....

Yes they were, pretty much soaked, wasn't sure if that was from the no wake zone back to the beach. Where is the best place to purchase the temp strip? thanks for the help, want to put this issue to rest!!

Have you checked the tiny fuel screen inside of the carburetor for the inlet? Could also take a look at the main inline fuel filter along the right side of the engine bay.

Sounds like it is running out of fuel? Minutes is quite a while though. And the Ski is a 2014.

i dont think too many of us could actually pull off running wot on a stand up for 10 minutes. i know my back would give out long before the engine would....
