i got a 750 small pin with the single carb setup on it. I was wondering if it would be worth my time to put any motor work on it or just go for the sxr 800 motor and start building it from there, if it would be any easier. Any ideas???:fingersx:

with a little tuning and dual carbs you will be at the 72hp of the big pin, and the small pin makes better bottom end power.

start there and move forward.

Actually, the SXR cyllinder is ported to make the best bottom end, although the small pins are better than the big pin 750's.

i'd go with the SXR motor.

Just want to throw this out there... Porting, total loss, Factory pipe, C-75 swirl prop... These are just a few things that cost less than another engine and will be much more noticeable. A properly setup 750 can be very powerful. The 800 does have better porting and more displacement but a freestyle ported 750 will have better porting than the 800 anyway making the 38cc between the 743(750) and the 781(800) pretty much moot.

thanks for all the input. I am pretty sure i am gonna stay with the small pin. I just got a coffman's exhaust setup for it. :Banane36:

Keep the small pin with a single carb (38-44). Put an AM head or a milled stock head to get compression up to 180-185. AM pipe or extended cone and you'll be stoked. I run this set up in my X2 and its a bitchen lil surf ski.
