Super Jet EPIC Dyno Testing

Does the dyno software not show a graph on screen that you could take a picture of? The tables could be drawn out into a quick graph if not. the curve the stock cdi and the epic with the pipe produce are the more interesting facts. 18% gain that low in the range is very good news for you though im sure.I didnt even think the epic worked on 61x elecs.keep up the good work, these are the kinda things that get us somewhere.

Aaron.. Bro get that thing operational,I watched 3 of the top fl guys in flatwater all argue whos 1000 hit the hardest, all 3 had different opinions on what was making the most power after riding all 3,IMHO its almost impossible to know once you get past a certain level. It would be similar to tuning 3 1000 hp cars with no dyno or time slip #s to work with or Trying to drive in a 900 hp and 1000 hp car one at a time in a parking lot and tell what made more power.......

62t as a 5mm stroker with a 3mm base plate, Damn this thing must have had some transfer port timing in it.
Good on your for running the engines up on the dyno and putting it up here.

Have not tried an epic with a 61X stator , other than a timing change, is the spark as strong as with a 62T? Any other differences noted? I trust the modding of the 62T manifold entailed blocking the crossover?

The spark was not checked but the way the engine was reacting tells me its fine. Don' know about the crossover but I was really surprised to see it was using a stock manifold although a lot of work had been done to it. Also someone over there has just fitted an EPIC with a 61X stator and a Jetinetics flywheel and says its really good but we haven't tested this ourselves.
Chris.

Thanks and yes you are correct, the transfer duration was right up there.

Agreed. I don't know about other people but I'd be willing to drive a few hours and spend a couple hundred bucks to get my engine dialed in perfectly for my application. Currently, we're all just kind of guessing based on generic info and seat of the pants feel. I can get my engines running pretty well but I can't even use a tachometer to tune them.

dyno tuning would be cool to a certain point, but the big advantage is testing different types of parts on the same or similar tune based on the part being changed to find out what is truly the better choice

Chris, let me know when you have it confirmed the epic and jetinetics fw are tested in the water and working 100 %,that is also very interesting for a analog to dig converter cdi to pull off

I can tell you with 100% certainty that the epic works flawlessly with a 61x stator and jetnetics flywheel

Why ever go back to TL? The unreliability of MSD enhancers combined with either finicky wiring or constantly charging a battery of a TL makes me so happy I made the switch to an Epic. I can't say I really noticed a huge change from my MSD TL (dig., single pickup) to the Epic. No B.S. I was running it on a full ported Dasa 760 bigbore. If there was a change it was minimal. I'd make the change to this and a lightened OEM flywheel any day over the headaches of a TL . Even if you did a brand new TBM $600 + Epic $400 = $1000 over a new TL or Flame ($1400-1600) you're still saving $400-600 plus your battery charges...prolly get an avalanche of how easy TL's are to maintain and how much better performance they put out but the Epic is great performance (see dyno pics), plus programmable, worry free and cheaper. Adios TL (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuZ5Xbt8-00&feature=related)

nice write up man

im building two skis one with a flame and one with an epic, will be interesting to see the results

i spoke to chris today and sounds like the dyno testing went well.. hopefully we will see the video soon
