I do believe a few times mine intermittently had an extended long crank time, actually it did not fire, released start button and re-cranked it then it fired. The ski had already been started within last 30 minutes before backing trailer in. In my case I was running a TBM flywheel that turned out to causing week and missing spark events @ TDC during the cranking and running. When I switched flywheels to 62t lightened my problems cleared up. The season is just starting for me, I've rode once in last 70 days which was last week and I did not notice anymore extended crank and don't remember any with the OE flywheel. To be honest i thought my extended crank was strange but I never really paid it too much concern because it always stared on the second or 3rd crank with that TBM wheel.
Overall my ski is re-starting on the water after a failed trick attempt way faster with the HX3 and OE flywheel, it's instant now! Before with the enhancer and TBM I always had To crank it for a bit before it would fire.

im running a stock lightened flywheel and it has been fine up till yesterday....then this issue started....its not a fuel issue, as soon as it sparks it fires....

The HX3 has a new "delayed spark start mode", wherein the spark is momentarily delayed so the engine can build momentum first then spark is allowed. I'am sure you know this already though. Have you contacted Chris at AirTime on this, he is very helpful..

i discovered something new tonight.....went to do some curve changing and can not get the epic to connect....guess its time to open the box up....maybe my fuse is toast or something....hoping to find something....

When mine wouldn't connect I found I wasn't getting the programming cable completely connected at the e-box's programming cable, I wasn't completely snapping the two halves together or forgot I was on curve B......... Curious to see what you find.

That new long crank time is it still present do you know, or just that one day ?

I'll be riding Tuesday thru Sunday so I'll keep an eye out if mine does it anymore.

i havent tried to start it but i assume the long crank is still happening...my ebox is wired funny so if the fuse is open it will still run but i will cause it to do weird things...im going to open it up tonight...i checked and rechecked the programming cable..so im sure it was as far in as it would go..

problem solved...well at least the epic will talk to the computer now...found a bad connection on one side of the fuse...problem fixed....will run it today or tomorrow...hopefully all is good now...thanks for all the help from atp
