I've been there before.
He wasn't trying to beach it. Hr was trying to jump the sandbar/island and clear it to the other side with water and keep going.I've been there before.

I was hitting a sand jump onto land. 1am camping on the beach. Launched it two or three times. It was pretty funny.

I did something like this as a kid on my first ski, although without intending to do it. We were in a marina and I was cruising around the slip. No other boats. I was supposed to slow down and stop at wading depth. For some reason (over excited) I pinned it and I remember everyone diving out the way as I ruined my new ski as I almost reached the parking lot. I have never shared this with anyone.
