Blaster Epic, no spark

I recently installed a used EPIC CDI on my Blaster and I have zero spark. I installed a used OEM tested 62T stator and lightened flywheel from Jetmaniac and new oem coil. I'm pretty sure I hooked everything up right. The only wires not connected are the black and pink wire to be used for a switch which I'm not using and a couple extra ground wires for the temp sensor. I am able to connect to the CDI with my computer and load and save curves to the ignition. Any thoughts? Do you think the CDI is toast?

Are you referring to black and white connectors at the end of the s/s wires that connect inside the hull or inside the s/s switch?

I guess I'll try disconnecting those. Excuse my ignorance, but I'm assuming I need to try one at a time otherwise there will be no way to start it. Assuming that is the problem what can I do to correct it otherwise I guess I'll be shutting off my ski by flooding it with the primer every time.

Just disconnect the black and white wires. Leave the other two plugged in. And then just turn your idle down a little.

I put my enhancer back in. I was able to get spark with the epic, but it was too inconsistent. Lots of back firing. I got tired of messing with it and decided I wanted to ride instead of play a guessing game.

Don't mean to thread jack, I just got my ski all back together (head and epic) and went to start but can't get it to start up. It is turning over but can't get it to fully start up.

I looked at the plug but it seems to be only sparking every couple seconds when I am trying to start it.. is that normal? It isn't a consistent spark, it is like the pulse is delayed. Brand new spark plugs btw.

I will have to look for that sticky, thanks.

Also, when I was hooking up my battery negative battery lead sparked a bit when it touched the terminal on the battery.. is that normal? Thanks.

make sure you are using resistor plugs BR8ES not B8ES (or equivilents)
