I hate the cold. But not gonna let it stop me, or the dark.
If you decide to go outside, dress warm but don't overdo the clothing since your body will be heating up to begin with. I suggest under armour cold gear with a sweatshirt over top for wind purposes, compression pants, and maybe some joggers over the pants.
Make sure you have plenty of fluids before you go outside. You can easily dry out your lungs in this crappy weather. Don't let that be you!!!
Hey, at least he is wanting you.............
:stooges:
I lived in Alaska for a year and they tell you "don't run when it's below 0". I went to a natural hot springs in -40 weather and started freezing (literally) on the 1/3 mile walk back to the car. So we started running. Then I realized why they tell you don't run. The cold air was freezing our lungs! You could feel it like ice daggers in your chest. We had to slow to a walk and just deal with the minor frostbite we got on our ears. AL doesn't sound so bad now huh?
How cold was it?
Emm, when we ride in the cold, we use Tights for the legs, Then for up top, many use Underarmour Cold Gear with another layer over that to help break the wind. Right now I am using arm warmers with my cycling jersey. I need to get the underarmour shirt as well......... You dont want to be hot when you start, you will die when your body heats up..... You want to be cool when you start. Also you may want to get something to cover your mouth and nose, this way you can muffle the air you are breating in, help to warm it some before it hits your lungs.
So....it is getting COLD here...only 36 right now and the low is twenty freaking two tonight!!!!!!! ARG!!! :skull2:
I usually only hit the gym two nights a week because it is a pain in the arse to get there from work and home and stuff. I have been walking/running the other nights....but now that it is so damn cold I don't know what I am going to do.
Should I just bundle up and stay outside? I don't want to catch pneumonia or anything!
