Exhaust exit location.

Long story short, I am now just realizing yami couches exit the engine exhaust into the pump area. I've also seen rear exit's, and front side exits on the old standups. Well, I was looking yesterday and noticed wave ventures have a cool dual exhaust outlet/tip. I thought it sure would look cool exiting out the back, but it can't because of a 90* bend so it meets the rubber tube strait. But it could be flipped and exit the rear right corner.....would this cause any issues? I am worried about water pressure and assume they did inside the pump tunnel above the ride plate for this exact reason....

A rear side outlet could interfere with the rear sponsons ability to work. It would be a safer bet to run the exhaust straight out the rear.

I wanted to do this a while back, even had it mocked up in an old XJet hull but never finished off the project. You should do it, just so we can all see how it looks.

Honestly with a low profile exit I doubt you’d even be able to notice any difference in ride. I know I’m comparing two different locations but I’ve never been able to notice the difference on front exit superjets/am hulls.
Maybe I just suck though :)

On x2 old racers changed the exit to farther forward and on the other side.
Supposedly it being back and in the water affects handling and turning. I would think anything blowing out the side would have a tendency to push the ass end the other way.

Front exits on sj aren't in the water on plane and it's still got the rear to exit

What do you have to lose, if it doesn’t work patch it and throw a sticker over the hole.
My vote is that you notice minimal if any difference at all especially on a couch.
