exhaust question

I'm still trying to work out my exhaust for my EME aerial 8. Has anyone ever routed exhaust similar to laydown pipe but with factory pipe? Basically looking at putting waterbox off to side of tank similar to laydown setup and using silicone 90s and exhaust pipe to "make the turn" in the nose instead of putting waterbox in the nose. Sort of like i have sketched up. Would this work? Any reason not to do it like this?

No reason it wouldnt work. I'd just make sure the water box inlet is lower than the chamber outlet or you could water backfeed into your exhaust.
