Exhaust Temp and Pressure

Does anyone have guidance on limits in both heat and preassure?

I am looking into some alternatives exhaust hoses to try and share. Just learning and being creative. Share if you know anything :)

Based on my reading so far:
  • High Temps probably don't exceed 350F. After looking up specs on most existing hoses we use and reading other threads.
  • Working PSI ~50 and burst PSI ~150 based on looking at spec of other hoses many use

I have no idea what temp and pressure it actually runs at but back when I had a wet jet pipe on my SN I used a standard dayco upper radiator hose that fit and never had an issue. You could get a silicone radiator hose and it would hold up to higher heat yet.

I ran a rubber sewer coupler from Lowes on my pipe. It worked but I blew it about once a year. Easy to get/ find replacements. Just about any silicone hose will work. I would steer away from the fuel neck hoses. I had one from the water box out. It delaminated on the inside and caused a tuning nightmare never thought to look down inside that hose until one day by chance I had it off. And realized the inside was about closed up.
